Stitches

On our morning walk yesterday, the lighting seemed to hi-light the little animal tracks, and they looked like stitches in the snow.

This guy is making a long crochet chain.

This guy is knitting, he needs to work on his tension!

This little guy is obviously sketching out plans for a triangular shawl.

Cross stitching?

A snow boa over the trail.

This guy has found himself a cozy little home, and probably food, in the mulch over the parsnip bed. (Where are you Mr. Fox?)

We've had a run of delightful cold, sunny days. We got out, drilled some holes, and did a little fishing...no luck.

  1. Your "stitches in the snow" brought a big smile to my face! Yesterday I saw fox, coyote and rabbit tracks in our (little amount of) snow. Our animals aren't nearly as creative as yours!

    1. Today's hike yielded a 'musical mouse'. A little critter had formed an almost perfect treble clef in the snow! Hope you are getting some of this beautiful, sunny weather as well!

    1. Lots of tracks now, as the temperature has come up above freezing, and the critters are all out hunting for sustenance. Its balmy out now at 4C.

  3. It was a gorgeous day to be out and about. We were noticing the interesting trails all about the farm fields up the road.
