OK...lets have a look at this...a water tank you say? mmmmm....
And how is the compost coming along??
Your water pump looks good....
All OK. I'm leaving now.
I went out to the kitchen last night about 8PM to get a drink of water, and there, standing in the middle of the yard was a young bull moose. (Look at the growing antlers on his head.) Click on the pics to make them bigger.
He was in no hurry, but checked things out, then ambled off. On looking for his tracks this morning, he'd come from the same direction that he headed off to when the inspection was over! So perhaps he was curious.
I may be going dark toward the end of the month, as I've probably used up too much data...but couldn't resist this! Have a good week!
I love it! Of course we don't see things like that here. Enjoy the weekend Rosalea! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Martha. At least he didn't tramp on anything with his big feet!
DeleteWe just commented this past week that we hadn't seen a moose in ever-so-long. Sightings are not uncommon in our area, but we've never seen one on our property. Wonder if yours will visit again? What a treat for you to see him leisurely checking out your yard.
ReplyDeleteWe usually catch them on the trail cameras or hear from neighbours seeing some this time of year. We came around a corner on our road about a week ago, and there were two big cows standing there. They took their time moving to! We had a cow come out by the garage, walk across the drive that goes to the barn and then swim across the pond one spring! Kinda' hope he moves along, as they nibble stuff just as deer do!
DeleteWhat a wonderful surprise! That is definitely a stunning look at the wild of our world! Thanks for sharing ! Have an awesome weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank you wyomingheart. This morning, we checked the SD card on a camera that is not too far from the house, and found pictures of a young cow moose on it! We have seen more moose this year than any year since we moved up here.
